Test Your English for Canada

If you are like so many of my students then you are learning English for a very specific reason and that reason is Canada! I get a lot of messages and emails asking me what “level” of English is required to live in Canada. This will all depend on your career and your immigration plan.

In Canada, English language ability is measured using The Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB).

This is a 10 level scale that measures reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Knowing your CLB level is important. You need to know where you are starting.

In this lesson, I am guiding you through a self-assessment of your language skills. Please note this self-assessment is for your own study purposes and can’t be used for immigration purposes.

There is a worksheet for this lesson you can download it here.
